A magnificent Victorian plaque ring circa 1900— 18ct, platinum, and very well diamond’ed with over 1.30ctw. Eternity meets modernity in this gorgeous cross-over ring that looks toward the Deco period as she hearkens back to the Victorian penchant for ancient themes. Stunning lotus-like blooms on her shoulders echo the egyptomania of the 1870’s, and foreshadow the Egyptian Revival that would keep a stylistic chokehold on the Deco Period. With her perfectly milgrained finish, and beautiful platinum top, I am certain her new caretaker will be as taken with her as I was when I first slid her onto my finger.
