Saint Esprit translates to the Holy Ghost and is a dove-shaped religious symbol. Popular in France during the late eighteenth-century saint esprit jewelry was made in either silver or gold and set with gemstones, both real and paste.

Citrine is known for representing friendship, hope, and happiness. 

I adore this French jewel and imagine that Louis would have had one from his family house. Nine citrine paste stones are bezel-set with three drops.
