A gorgeous example in solid 9k with a golden to pink tonality, this rare graphic locket features a hand etched paisley scroll throughout, with raised letters that state “Dinna Forget.” Dinna Forget was a phrase most often used in Scottish courting, found in the folkloric poem of uknown authorship bellow. Edwin Grover wrote a short poem of the same title in 1890, depicting the phrase in the platonic sense.

This particular locket underscores its Scottish heritage with the addition of two thistle blooms at the top and bottom of the front face, and a sizable shield at the back, which could have been etched with the family crest, or initials of the beloved. One could further customize this treasure with the addition of an inscription within the shield.
