Pre-Art Deco Platinum Diamond & Certified Natural Pearl Brooch | LFG Paris | c.1910
This rare pre-Art Deco jewel comes to us from the moment before Art Deco was fully articulated in the way that it is remembered today — still in its geometric exploration, spreading its wings with the new medium of all-platinum construction.
At a time when natural pearls were all the more exceptional, as Mikimoto's Japanese cultured pearls were ravaging the market, time and effort was taken to secure the finest natural saltwater pearls for this remarkable piece. This outstanding brooch comes with a certificate from LFG Labs, Paris, stating that all pearls are natural.
Something for the lover of elegant and sophisticated jewels from this dreadfully stylish corner of time at the beginning of the 20th century — this brooch would be an outrageous addition to any collection.
