A wonderful vintage platinum ring in the Art Deco manner, hand-wrought with the stone weights hallmarked directly on the inner band — a mark of the finest custom atelier work, this ring sets a 2.80 carat emerald of likely Colombian origin, at center stage.
The emerald earns her stripes; vibrant, fully saturated, and large enough to achieve complete opacity in that extraordinary Colombian green. Very little jardin — the natural internal garden of inclusions that characterises fine emeralds — with notable depth and colour that holds in every light. Flanking it, two larger and two smaller elongated step cut diamonds of VS/I1 quality in J/K white, notoriously difficult to find in step cuts of this clarity — only one visible inclusion across the set. The larger stones are .38ct each, the smaller .28ct, for a hallmarked total of 1.41ctw in diamonds and 4.21ctw for the entire ring. Near mint condition throughout.
