A rare pair of onyx teardrop earrings, with dramatic paralellogram tops, these beauties are simply magnanimous with their sumptuous shape and dramatic color. Circa 1860, this wonderful pair of earrings have that certain je-ne-sais-quoi that the fashion of this period was known for. A boldness, a geometry echoed in the shapes of the gowns and cuts of lapels, these earring are unmistakably from this period-- and yet they seem at home in any decade that might have followed. I adore them.
