One of the crown jewels of a recent acquisition expedition, this special petite enamel depicts a mother and her gorgeous little girl frolicing in a pastoral setting against a dark background of approaching night. Our mother figure is seated in a French, III empire throne, as her daughter collects a golden bouquet. With classic scroll work and fine details, this beauty dates to around 1860 and is a remarkable example of the period.
