Albert chains are named after a style of watch chain Prince Albert wore during the Victorian period. Traditionally this style of watch chain has a bar on one end used to affix the chain to a vest buttonhole, while the opposite end of the chain is fitted with a swivel hook to attach the watch.
Beautifully hallmarked, this exceptional 15ct slide chain is one of the finest examples from this period that we've ever had, with a geometric tassel, and two heavily decorated slides, studded with 8 pearls each, two tones of gold. A tasteful extender was added to create a wearable length.
Materials and Features: 15ct gold, black enamel, pearls.

Please view and inspect any photos closely. We endeavor to fully disclose all condition information clearly and concisely, however, please note that what qualifies as excellent condition for historical jewelry differs from modern and contemporary pieces; please take the age of the piece into account when examining the piece. Minor age wear is typical and to be expected for antique and vintage jewelry.
