An outstanding French beauty in warm pink-toned gold — part of a trio of gem bands we received together, and the kind of turn-of-the-century piece that looks back at classical form even as it announces something distinctly its own.
Five gorgeous sapphires, each ranging .33–.40ct, march across the band in rich, even color, set in prongs that remain in genuinely excellent, original condition — a rarity for a ring approaching its 115th birthday. The rose tone of the 18ct gold gives it a softness that yellow gold simply doesn't achieve, and it wears with the easy elegance of French jewelry from this period at its finest.
