A treasure fit for a queen!
Crafted circa 1800 in this delicious Sicilian coral, this large scale comb tiara is a beautiful example of the Napoleonic penchant for semi-precious jewels. Unlike the diamond and fine jewels of the 18th century French court, this tiara boasts faceted coral terminals that stand out and capture the gaze.
This comb is in the traditional Empire style, and is an excellent example of a piece a lady of means would have enjoyed at the turn of the 19th century. A rare and wonderful for the art historian or discerning antique collector alike!
