There are few places in the world more beautiful than Art Nouveau Barcelona. And the pleasure to enjoy the city is decadently experienced in in the jewels produced in the Catalan region during the end of the 19th, beginning of the 20th c. This immaculate early 20th century ring in 18ct is one of my favorite stowaways from my time in Spain... she spent many months with the jeweler, waiting for the perfect emeralds to take the place of two synthetic rubies that had formerly occupied the starring spots in the band. I love the idea of toi-et-moi rings that utilize the same type of stone; the symbolism imitates that you and I are cut from the same cloth-- two hearts that beat as one, two slices of the same fruit.

 The hyperstylized art deco detail across the band and shoulders is haute couture to say the least. This ring is truly remarkable.
