Once in a blue moon, we find an incredible artifact, handed down to the current moment, perhaps by chance, or perhaps through recognition of its beauty by every pair of hands it passes through. This incredible jewel, I posit, is a case of the latter. Magic is woven into the halo of emeralds, the milgrain set tapered baguettes that crown the low profile platinum gallery. An outstanding find for the lover of deco originals.

The era we now know as “Art Deco” received its moniker from the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. Emphasis was placed on the association of art and modern industry.

A popular design of this period was the "Bullseye" or "Target" ring, with interspersed gems set in the formation of an archer's target. This ring showcases a beautiful center diamond, ringed in French cut emeralds, and accented with two baguette cut diamonds.  More diamonds flank the shoulders, giving a glittery shine from every angle! Mounted on a simple, structured basket, it makes a classic presentation of the art deco bullseye motif.
