Iberian Peridot & Rose-Cut Diamond Pendant in 18ct Gold and Silver, Circa 1880
Rare and radiant, this Peridot and diamond pendant from the Iberian Peninsula is an uncommon object; I find it harder and harder to come across pieces like this as modern taste so often hungers for the resetting of large open facet, juicy gemstones like the star of the show here. How lucky are we that this peridot pear escaped the fate of so many of her peers? Perfect on a ribbon, ravishing on a chain, this beautiful large scale pendant also a certain textile taste to the diamond halo that celebrates the central stone-- rose cut ruffles, anyone?
