A lovely Victorian onyx and pearl studded cameo set in 14ct gold-- this superb brooch is a classic example of renaissance revival from the 1870's, when portrait cameos of this caliber were beloved staples in every jewelry wardrobe. I am particularly fond of the sitter's large earrings, double strand of pearls, brooch, and finely detailed carvings specifying how the clothing falls around her bust. With a double-layered halo, this dual tone gold set cameo will be a beloved addition to any collection.
