Georgian jewelry, much like its society at the time, varied greatly throughout Europe, the "new world" (northern, middle, and South America), one of the great experiences of my time in Barcelona this past year was exploring many of the themes that Spanish jewelry contributed to the oevre of styles that defined European jewelry taste of the 18th c. This early 19th century pair of earrings from Spain builds on the 18th c thema of spain and brings us a definitively different look than some of the 18th/19th c jewels we are perhaps more familiar with from England. A wired halo of delicate pearls sits around a massive golden bezel that cradles a pink/yellow foiled citrine centerpiece. When I discovered these as earrings, they were rather badly damaged, and I thought they'd have a happier second life as rings. I couldn't be more pleased with this decision. Enjoy them as a pair or seperately- they are priced individually below.
