Georgian England had a deep adoration of many frivolous things; tea cakes, moralistic novels, and desk seals, such as this one. No set of writing utensils was complete without one (or seven) seals- and this stag seal, I must say, is one of my favorite finds from my most recent sourcing expedition in France. English, circa 1830,this example features one bloodstone, and one sunstone- the bloodstone to represent health. Easily fashioned into a large pendant with a ribbon if you so please, or perfect for your writing projects, we can inscribe it upon request.
