Snakes (or serpents) were the symbol of royalty and deity in early Egyptian society. Victorian jewelry often used an entwined snake to symbolize infinity and eternal love. Over the years the snake has also come to symbolize sexuality and rebirth. While serpent motif jewelry goes far back in history, it’s popularity really spread starting in the 1840s and peaked between then and the 1860s. As far as we’re concerned, however, it is timeless and unique in both it’s art and symbolism.
Coiling beautifully around your finger, this sweet vintage snake looks amazing on hand with her geometric scales and curving tail. A size 9.5 resizable as needed.
