Well-loved in any collection, this is an oxidized 50” Sterling chain featuring a dog clip and super special spacers. There is an irresistible, dangerous duality to this chain… Sterling ball spacers remind us of chained mace balls! For those familiar with medieval weaponry, it will come as no surprise; French 19th century jewels had a true closeness to the 11th-13th century roots of the country. I think this gothic chain is all the more enhanced by the feminine pearl studs in the mace-like ball spacers!
This chain is likely French in origin, resembling chains produced in France during this time.
