Why hang your art on your walls, when it can sway from your collarbone? Rise and fall with the tempo of your breathing? Rest on your chest as it would have in Austinian England? I am a huge fan of this paste halo’d cupid painting in sterling silver just as much for its beauty as a jewel, as its functionality as a keepsake.
Tucked within this treasure lies a fragment of what appears to have been a love letter… Guided by the painting of cupid atop his quiver, playing a lyre as he bullets through the air to intoxicate his next victim, I could not imagine a more romantic find.
