Finding necklaces in mint condition from the 19th century is becoming harder and harder; rare pieces from the 1860's, especially precious, fully carved black chalcedony examples like this are nearly impossible. I've only ever had one other.
With 16 massive stations set with four perfect pearls at the center-- each station is hand beveled and carved to acomodate a beautiful series of station loops. With a wear I imagine this necklace would have been the perfect candidate for a movie or film usage as it is all original to the period.

We endeavor to fully disclose all condition information clearly and concisely, however, please note that what qualifies as excellent condition for historical jewelry differs from modern and contemporary pieces; please take the age of the piece into account when examining the piece. Minor age wear is typical and to be expected for antique and vintage jewelry.
