A flashy, vibrant, and beautifully balanced 1980s American ring — a 2.34 carat pistachio emerald in a subtly graduated diamond halo that is outrageously bright for its size.
The emerald measures 8.5mm × 8.5mm, presented in a glistening mount that was elegantly modified to accommodate its square form — a considerate alteration, cleanly executed. The halo comprises H/I colour VS/I1–2 diamonds graduating from 2.75mm to 3.5mm in diameter, totalling 1.14ctw, and they blaze. This is a ring for someone who wants a larger size emerald with genuine presence without sacrificing the balance of the overall design. The maker's mark CAF and 585 hallmark on the shank speak to the quality of American craftspersonship at its best in this period. Size 8, resizable as needed.
