Increasingly difficult to find, this beautiful pair of Victorian drop earrings with coral centers. These Victorian earrings are a bit of a Curio/Lovelie Jewels brain child! Many moons ago, my mom and I acquired this pair of 1880's 9ct victorian earrings in London; but the central elements (which were, at the time, faceted gold drops) were badly bruised on a few sides. Rather than reconstruct, we had the original pink gold melted to create the tops for these coral drops, which had been sitting around our workshop for years. A costly, but worthwhile process, we always endeavor to keep things as original as possible, embellish only with historical accuracy in mind, restoring with an eye toward the future. These earrings are a prime example of the restoration I hope to do for many years to come.

Length: 1.9"

Age/ Origin: English, 1880, with aforementioned loving restoration

Materials: 9ct gold, coral
