Bohemian garnets are well known to vintage and antique jewelry collectors, but few people are aware of these beautiful pieces of jewelry history. Bohemian garnets are a member of the pyrope species of garnet and are prized for their vibrant red hue and an inner glow that comes from their highly refractive nature with light.
“Bohemian” derives from the region of Bohemia, a kingdom which later became Czechoslovakia and, among other flourishing trades, this region produced gorgeous, deep red garnet gemstones and a style of jewelry that quickly became popular in the late Victorian Era and through the turn of the century.
Drops of life in the moonlight, this gorgeous band is everything that we ever dreamed of in a vampire wedding band. With stunning collet settings, this circa 1870 gothic fantasy band is the perfect stacker.
