The Belle Époque encompassed three jewelry design periods: Art Nouveau, the Arts and Crafts movement, and Edwardian Era. The “Beautiful Era” was a time of increasing wealth and flourishing arts. When the first tendrils of cinema boomed, movie stars, instead of European royalty, became trendsetters. As a result, Hollywood (and America) emerged as the ones to watch.
The jewelry of this era was fashioned with pale-colored gemstones, like pearls and diamonds, into lavish necklaces, rings, tiaras, and earrings. Platinum oft replaced heavier silver mountings, allowing gemstones to appear in delicate-yet-strong mountings that provided optimum light, airiness, and natural beauty.
This stunning pearl and diamond dinner ring is a sign of the times, featuring a central pearl surrounded by sparkling diamonds- it self a plate, and the pearl, your favorite amuse-bouche! A stand-out ring for any night look and classic addition to any collection.
