Second star to the right – finger, that is!
Crafted circa 1894 in a vibrant 18 carat gold, this beautiful star band has been a long-time staple in our collection. Most gold rings of this caliber average between 3-5 grams; but this one more than doubles that!
The north star motif at the center of the band was a popular element in post-archeological period aesthetics; as the general public intensified their fascination with the astronomy of the ancient world, so too did their adornments reflect the starry-eyed sentiment.
Perfect as the base of a stack, or worn alone as a statement piece, this weighty ring is the perfect addition to any antique jewelry collection!
