Named after the four King Georges who ruled in succession through this period, the Georgian era was prosperous and revolutionary, particularly in politics, art, and architecture. Georgian jewelry was no exception.
Slide chains were originally designed to hold a lady's watch and can still be used for this, but they are very versatile. A long, thin chain with a decorative slide and ending in a watch hook, with a slide that glides on the chain and stays where you put it. This special one includes a grape slider, symbolizing plenty, freedom, and rebirth.
This rare regency slide chain features a lace-cuffed gauntlet hand gripping a screw-top dog clip, and is a gorgeous addition to any neck stack, collection, or paired with many charms.
