Miniature artwork you can wear on your hand! Crafted circa 1800 in 18 carat gold, this gorgeous early 19th century ring is a true museum-quality piece, featuring the beautiful cameo portrait of a veiled female figure rendered in finely carved Sardonyx. The veiled figure in question may be the depiction of either a Patrician’s wife in mourning – as was the style that Napoleon thought tireless to revive – or a young priestess. Either way, both depictions are esoteric choices in their own right.
This stunning ring also features magnificent caning of the gold all around, creating a memorable and subtly whimsical silhouette. A ring like this is a rare treasure indeed, and this piece is even more special because it is being offered out of Elle’s personal collection.
Between the artistry, historical significance, and sentimental value, this ring is a perfect addition to any art lover or antique connoisseur’s collection!
