With floating pearls creating a sensual ruffle around the golden construction, this beautiful brooch is both a classic example of 19th century artistry and an evergreen fashion object. The pre-nouveau styling at the top of the jewel foreshadows all of the industry to come in the 20th c, as the belle epoch fineness of the diamond's prongs in the buttercup setting really enjoys the Victorian limelight. We almost never find them this fine!
