Bohemian garnets command admiration for their vibrant red hue and mesmerizing inner glow, stemming from their remarkable refractive properties. Hailing from the former Kingdom of Bohemia, these gems were born in the hills of what is known today as the Czech Republic.
This endearing Edwardian three leaf clover brooch containing both flat cut and pavé set gems, is just fabulous. In the Edwardian era, clovers were a beloved symbol of good luck, easily finding their way into many jewelry designs. The three delightful leaves of the clover were believed to represent the heartwarming values of hope, faith, and love, making it a deeply meaningful and sentimental choice for jewelry. Clover jewels were more than just a symbol of good luck; they also served as a joyful reminder to keep hopeful and stay positive, even when times were tough. It's worth noting that different colors of clovers have different meanings as well. In an effort to produce a bold and bright red color, the stones of this piece were clustered together in a pavé setting, allowing for the richly hued shine of the garnet to create this bright red clover. Red symbolized hope and industry, so if you are about to embark on a new business venture, let this clover serve as your totem. This brooch is truly remarkable, and I’m dreaming of seeing it on a cream or black blazer lapel at your next opening.
