This dreamy Bohemian garnet swirl bangle is bound to make you swoon. Circa 1890, she is undoubtably belle èpoque for her flamboyancy and beautiful ornate construction. Marking a transition from the victorian to the art nouveau era, this piece is designed with both geometric and naturalistic forms in mind; with a row of the largest rose cut garnets in the composition suspended between two garnet encrusted scroll forms which are anchored to the main bangle band.

Bohemian garnets, belonging to the pyrope species of garnet, command admiration for their vibrant red hue and mesmerizing inner glow, stemming from their remarkable refractive properties. In fact, the term “pyrope” is derived from the Greek words “pyr,” signifying “fire,” and “ops,” translating to “eye.” This precisely encapsulates the fiery red color and entrancing luminosity that these gems exhibit.
