An exceptional trompe-l’œil bracelet centered on a sculptural blue enamel bow, flanked by finely executed blue and white enamel panels along the shoulders. The enamelwork recalls the painted boiserie and decorative wall panels of the Romantic period, translated here into jewel form with remarkable sophistication.
Likely dating to the July Monarchy, this bracelet reflects aristocratic taste for architectural ornament rendered in miniature. The palette and technical execution closely parallel the interior decorative programs of the private apartments at Château de Chantilly, created for the Duke and Duchess of Aumale between 1845–1848. A rare and historically resonant example of mid-19th-century French enamel artistry.
