Sweet and elegant!
Crafted circa 1880 in a lovely 14 carat gold, these wonderful late 19th century filagree flower earrings are an especially delicate day-to-night example. Maltese jewels of this caliber are so rare and special to find, and these earrings are especially fine in their detailing and ornate craftwork. When worn, it is no doubt that these earrings command the gaze – the gold catching the light in such a way that the floral motifs erupt like miniature suns upon your ears!
There earrings possess a distinct delicacy, while maintaining an ancient parallel to the primordial landscape the Maltese island is known for. A magnificent addition to any antique jewelry collection!
