Crafted circa 1875 in a stunning mix of 9 carat pink gold and sterling silver, this French brooch is one of the finest examples of archaeological revival that we’ve ever seen. The details are stunning, and each aspect of this brooch is a feast for the eyes.

Multitudes of luminescent miniature pearls are bezel set into the sterling silver, juxtaposing beautifully against the miniature turquoise stones set at the center and top of the brooch. The patterning of the stones is pure iconic Greek design, creating a mythical and whimsical silhouette.

This brooch is also massive in size, making it an immediate eye-catcher. What’s remarkable about this specific example is the artistry. Not only is it an amphorae, it additionally has a slanted Greek key down the center, and two forget-me-knots on the shoulders.
