A stunning Belle Epoque treasure that’s sure to turn heads!
What a delightful ring this is! Crafted circa 1880 in a lovely 18 carat gold, this French ring is remarkably similar in appearance to the Sapphire and Pearl Art Nouveau ring in our repository.
However, despite its appearances, this French ring is pre-art nouveau, with a beautiful construction and navette (“little ship”) design that foreshadows the aesthetic moments to come in 19th century French jewelry.
This ring boasts a lofted gallery, with sumptuous amethyst cabochons that shine like miniature jeweled grapes. The Amethysts sit on a bed of rose-cut diamonds, meaning that no matter how you wear this ring, it is certain to gleam and sparkle! With a sizable central pearl, one of the most notable features of this ring is a warm, pink tonality to the 18-carat gold. Très chic! If we do say so ourselves.
A delightful addition to any antique jewelry collection!
