This Pietradura Ring is a breathtaking rare find! Pietradura is a beautiful Italian technique in which stones are inset into a black chalcedony stone – creating three-dimensionality and depth within the jewel. This technique is incredibly similar to the iconic Micromosaic design – a wonderful marriage of Italian artistic sensibilities.

This particular ring is a stunning exploration of the floriography of the white rose. Inlaid in marble is the visage of a forget-me-not and a white angel trumpet. The resulting design is whimsical and romantic, with a delightfully delicate silhouette. The Pietradura dates to the early 20^th century, while the sterling silver setting is much later.
