A stunning turn of the century treasure!
Crafted circa 1910 in a lovely 9 carat gold, this Peridot and Pearl Lavaliere necklace is a gorgeous statement piece. The chain detailing is simple and understated, creating a perfect vehicle for these lovely lime-green peridot stones to shine! The miniature diamonds encrusted along the small connection station are a lovely detail, creating a sweet and feminine silhouette.
Peridot Lavalieres like this one were a beloved fashion statement of the 1910’s, often seen on high lace collars of the time. The striking pop of color from this particular example really speaks to us – absinthe green hues like this appear in very few others stones – with the exception of demantoid garnet – so a necklace of this caliber is truly a rare and exceptional treat.
A wonderful addition to any antique jewelry collection!
