A wonderful five stone diamond band, classic to the third quarter of the 19th century. With warm color diamonds of a VSII to SI1 clarity, this beautiful ring is a classic example of the historical band that always has a home in any stack! With her sensual lofted gallery in very yellow 18ct, fresh to NYC from London.
On a historical note, it is almost impossible to date constellation diamond rings without date letters (the design is so classic) yet, we are confident that this is an earlier example because of the lux, large British hallmarking. Many speculate that the tools which produced these larger scale stamps were retired during the First World War. Smaller stamps are found to have marked most of the deco and later jewels that we see, with microscopic hallmarking taking hold in the 40’s through to modern day.
