A sumptuous, incredible snake ring with blue, green, white, and red enamel, this outstanding ring is a fine example of the 1960's revival of Victorian art in jewelry. This specific ring takes the form of a gorgeous Victorian-esque snake with her open mouth, shining teeth, and inquisitive eyes, slithering up off of the finger to greet her wearer, or perhaps their conversation partner with her wide grin.
This vintage example boasts a 14k yellow gold snake with many beautiful enameled details, and my favorite little ellement being the detailed collar that she wears.

A note on snake jewelry:
Queen Victoria set many trends-- one of our favorites must be her engagement ring. The royal couple thrust snake jewelry under the fashion spotlight when The Queen's husband-to-be, Prince Albert, bought her a snake engagement ring, with an emerald (her birthstone) crown. The Victorians associated the snake motif with eternal love. The first Queen to be regularly seen out and about, Victoria’s style was emulated throughout the world and you can still find beautiful antique snake jewelry today.
