This wonderful late 19th century ring is a prime example of exceptional American craftspersonship. Crafted circa 1890 in a sweet 14 carat pink gold, this ring features a gorgeous iridescent opal stone surrounded by delicate miniature diamonds.
The silhouette is truly whimsical; the diamonds are bezel-set daintily along four corners, creating a cross-shaped halo around the opal stone. The effect is a ring that looks as if it is starlight itself, plucked right out of the night sky and onto this delicate gold shank.
