Traditionally, sealing wax was used not only to seal the letter against tampering but also to identify the sender, as people maintained personal and family seals for the purpose. The idea of using a personal seal for identification dates from the earliest civilizations and survives today in the form of rubber stamps and embossers. Still, there is nothing quite like a wax seal for adding a bit of regency elegance to your notes and letters.

The hallmark of Georgian jewelry is its incredibly ornate metalwork. Only hand fabrication could achieve this level of artistry. Furthermore, hand-crafted jewelry doesn’t have porosity (surface pitting in the metal). A perfect example and adapted as a perfect pendant, I chose to close the Mina Harker drop with this piece to pay homage to her hand-typed manuscripts in which she shares Dracula's timeline with the fang avenging team.
