A sensual, substantial opal solitaire in excellent shape with fanned shoulders showcases the apt simplicity of Edwardian jewelry. As with many pieces coming out of the hyper feminine, ornate Victorian era, the early 20th c saw a swing toward focusing on the natural beauty of materials and strong lines, as the Deco aesthetic percolated.
With oceanic overtones in the large central opal, the pink gold setting creates a complimentary color dichotomy.
