During the Victorian era, Persian turquoise , or “Pierre Turquoise”(Turkish stone) was highly en-vogue. Often imported from Turkey to England, this special stone was renowned for its vibrant robin’s egg blue hue.

This stunning 19th century ring is a perfect example of iconic Victorian turquoise jewelry. Crafted in a sweet 10 carat pink gold circa 1875, this ring is modeled in the iconic navette, or “little ship” design, and features a delicate array of iridescent pearls arranged in the center. The pearls juxtapose sweetly against the vibrant turquoise stones, creating an elegant silhouette.

With its five beautiful pearls and twelve soft sweet sugarloaf cabochon stones, this ring is a great example of late 19th century American aestheticism. Specifically, this is a wonderful display of the Eastlake Design, which originated in San Francisco.

With its arresting beauty and timeless glamour, this is a wonderful antique treasure you’ll no doubt be reaching for again and again!
