English Victorian Spinel Star Brooch with Pearls | 25 Pink/Purple Spinels | 9ct Gold | c.1870s
A yummy spinel star brooch with such a flight of fancy to it — 25 gorgeous spinels that shift from hot Barbie pink to a sumptuous magenta-near-purple depending on the light, with pearls that explode outward from the centre in a burst of implied movement that make this star... well... the star of the show!
The central spinel measures 4.25mm, with 6 arms of the star that radiate outward! At 40mm in length, 8.16 grams, and with a small loop for a chain or clasp at the reverse, she is wonderfully wearable — as a brooch, on a chain, or suspended as a pendant. English, 9ct gold, 1870s, and entirely irresistible.
