This ring features a bezel-set boulder opal in matrix and features the most magical blue-green hue with vibrant flashes of violet and orange. The term matrix opal is commonly used where the opal is intimately diffused as infillings of pores or holes between grains of the host rock in which it was formed. Boulder matrix opal is found in Queensland and can be distinguished by the ironstone host rock.
Additionally, Boulder opal is believed to calmcthe inner soul by representing the interplay of emotional elements, as seen by its refracting colors. This ring is a stunning addition to any stack or any gemstone collection.
