A striking French Belle Époque ring centered on an exceptional cotton candy opal so sumptuous you simply want to pop her in your mouth! The opal is estimated at approximately 14.31 carats, based on measurements of 16 × 16 × 9.8 mm, and displays a vivid, multicolored play of light across a luminous ground.
The stone is framed above and below by two diamond-set crescents, creating a balanced and architectural composition. The surrounding diamonds — including two approximately .13 ct, four approximately .10 ct, four approximately .06 ct stones, and four small rose-cut diamonds — total an estimated 1.00 carat. The platinum setting is finely constructed, with a thoughtfully articulated undergallery visible beneath the opal of scrolls, reminiscent of a garden gate from a fairytale.
A bold yet refined jewel, exemplary of French craftsmanship at the turn of the 20th century.
