Once in a while we meet a special ring that we just can't put down. This rare grand tour intaglio is one such jewel-- with a beautiful Persian carving that is likely a 19th century revival of an ancient rendering on this theme, the stone seems to glow within. Set with a Victorian style shank, it is becoming increasingly harder to find beautiful carnelian intaglios of this caliber; note that the figure is wearing a long, sumptuous drop earring and a scalloped collar. This would be a memorable addition to any collection.
