The one — the only — all original Art Deco platinum ring with a 23.06 carat emerald cabochon of genuinely earth-shattering presence, accompanied by GIA certification.
This is a massive, likely Brazilian emerald, and finding an Art Deco emerald of this scale that is entirely original to its setting is extraordinarily rare. The bezel construction is the proof: it is of original manufacture, and no later method of setting a stone this size could have been performed without heat application — which would have shattered an emerald of this nature instantly. The original bezel is therefore conclusive evidence that this is 100% as it left the workshop in 1915, a fact very few comparable rings can claim. Diamonds totalling 1.1ctw accent the mount, fully French hallmarked for platinum. At 10.19 grams and size 6 (sizable as desired), this is a ring built to carry serious weight, both literal and historical.
