Gorgeous and sensuous!
Crafted circa 1860 in a dazzling 18 carat gold, this ruby and pearl bracelet is a stunning Napoleon III era example. In the 19th century, French designers were particularly interested in the fiery pink ruby stone, due to the gem’s growing popularity. New mining techniques also made colorful gems more freely available – lending to new artistic flourishes in jewelry.
This bracelet is no exception, as it features wonderful construction and impeccable detailing in the placement of the pearls and rubies. Having the chains be interlocked with these dainty gems makes for the most elegant and romantic silhouette! Fit for a fête, we’d say!
A marvelous addition to any antique jewelry collection!
