This remarkable pair of Victorian earrings is crafted in a rich, vibrant 18 carat gold – making them gleam as they dangle from your ears! The craftwork and detail are wonderful; the angels are rendered in an Etruscan manner, and appear to be 19th century revivals of this early concept of wearing putti on the ears.
These earrings also reflect the Victorian fascination with the archaeological discoveries of the 1860’s – most especially the Faina Putto excavations, and other similar finds!
