We have hered a truly exceptional portrait cameo. Perhaps depicting a noblewoman, this renaissance influenced jewel is carved from a dramatic lavender agate. The woman in the portrait not only wears a drop earring, she sports three layers of pearl necklaces, and a brooch connecting her lace ruff.

This piece is reminiscent of a Dutch masterwork featuring the most incredible hand rendered lace ruff; the attention to detail paid in the carving of her immaculate costume make this cameo a stand out among similar Victorian examples- have a look at that patterned sleeve! This special cameo is classic and would be right at home in any collection.

Condition: Has had a small chip to the top that was lovingly buffed out, a tiny bit of her nose has been kissed by the marks of time.
